Jilapuhn, Inc., opened its doors in College Park, GA in 1997. Jilapuhn’s focus was reselling telephone services in the Bellsouth, Cincinnati Bell, Alltel, and SouthWest Bell regions. This constituted reselling of phone services in several states. In January of 2005 Jilapuhn created a credit union called JEFCU, (Jilapuhn Employees Federal Credit Union). JEFCU ceased operations in August 2005. However, we did reopen our services to the Virgin Islands public in 2007 as “Her Majesty’s Credit Union (HMCU).”
Our primary objective is to teach the younger generation principles of management, finance and investing so that they can avoid creating substantial debt. We also teach the Virgin Islands youth the art of money management, savings and disciplinary principles. For our adult members, we emphasize strategies and procedures to manage their accounts with additional knowledge and skills.
Jilapuhn also operates Stateside Communications which offers internet and phone services through its own network and is licensed in 14 states. Voice Over Internet protocol (VOIP) is the primary function of Stateside and the primary focus is on rural villages and communities. Our communication services are switched through Atlanta and Denver and we will be adding St Croix in the future. We also have plans to add mobile services to the portfolio of Stateside. Stateside World Wireless is the future brand.
Trade Winds Financial is the money services business that offers money orders and in the future will offer prepaid debit cards and many other services to the public. Trade Winds is a unique venture that simply works with the working public.
